Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Chatleon (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Chatleon is a document intelligence platform that allows users to upload files and interact with their content through a conversational AI interface. The Service includes document processing, chat functionality, API access, and embeddable widget features depending on your subscription plan.

3. Accounts and Registration

You must create an account to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or infringes any third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or infrastructure
• Resell or sublicense the Service without written consent
• Use the Service in a way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Intentionally circumvent rate limits or quotas

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through LemonSqueezy. All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Billing page. Upon cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it downgrades to the Free tier. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of all documents and content you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant Chatleon a limited license to process, store, and use that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your documents to train AI models or share them with other users. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any content you submit.

7. AI-Generated Responses

The Service uses large language models to generate responses based on your uploaded documents. AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. You should not rely on AI-generated content for critical decisions without independent verification. Chatleon is not responsible for decisions made based on AI responses.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chatleon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
